Good overall experience with campground and it's located close to a lot of things to do. The bathrooms were our only area of concern. Only of the two bathrooms worked and the womens bathroom could have been better stocked with soap and toilet paper as well as being cleaned better.

The facilities near our actual campsite were closed, but we had potable water and porta-potties. Other camp facilities appeared to be working. Spotty T-Moble 4G. I was told 5G was better. Rustic site with a variety of trees and brush. No extra parking. I had fun, it was close to the ocean and we rented Dune Buggies nearby.

This site shows signs of neglect and needs repairs for parking pads and bathrooms. Of the two bathrooms on site, only one was available. There seemed to be little effort to account for the consequent heavy use resulting from that situation. Generators ran after hours with no camp supervision. It appears more money is allocated to the OHC Driftwood 2 site that to this one.

Great location, good mix of sites. However, lack of maintenance is showing. Only one restroom was open and it frequently ran out of TP and soap despite park hosts refilling every few hours. Site 9 has storm damage and has been out of commission for well over a year now. Many water spigots throughout CG are out of commission. Park hosts also didn't enforce quiet hours after 10pm and we had to endure loud music until the wee hours of the night. Recycling bins have been removed. Dumpster chronically overflowing and a mess. CG used to be great. Now merely good.

No camp host to be seen, all I see is someone collecting a paycheck and living for free at the beach. They were “off duty” the whole time. This lack of security invites people that most people wouldn’t want to share their vacation with. Dogs being allowed go attack dogs walking by, big groups of drunk and high kids who let their kids treat this place like a daycare.
Very tight for trailers of any normal length. This place should be a tent only location in my opinion for the size and the treatment that having a trailer grants you here

Camp sites were good. They were clean and laid out to provide some privacy. The bath rooms were very basic and were in need of an upgrade.

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. |
