About Ebenezer Park

Ebenezer Park features some of the most beautiful horseback riding trails in southeast Texas. It's the only Army Corps of Engineers park on Sam Rayburn Reservoir with equestrian campsites, making it the go-to destination for horse-owners. The horse trail terrain is soft and sandy, so horseshoes are not required. Trails glide over rolling hills through creeks and gullies. Some trails even have beach access, allowing riders and their horses to cool off on a hot day. Note: The horse access beach and majority of the trail system are located on USFS property.

Bathrooms will suffocate you!!!!!! No ventilation!!!!!

Manure spreader should be placed in a recessed location to facilitate dumping wheel barrels. Many of us are getting disabled.

Great place to ride horses and relax!!!!

Love space 11. Heavy storm front with winds and rain rolled thru. Higher on a hill. Close to the restroom.
Pens dry out quick.
Good for pictures of sunrise over the lake
Camping area clean, and mowed.
Park attendant was friendly, and helpful

Could you possibly consider covering the horse pens and/or add more dirt to the pens more regularly? It’s a terrible mess when it rains and some pens are in the sun all day long

The corrals were in poor repair high potential injury risk. I suggest you partner with an equine group which in many cases will help in repair cost. I am used to coming and going at the park with no assistance so no contact was desired or needed. None was available. Love this place.

Tent sites had far more than 10 ppl per spot. Quiet hours, use of generators, floodlights, and loud music were not observed or enforced. And this was not just one site, but several around where we were. Also 2 of the 4 showers were closed and the two that were open were filthy (dirty diapers on the floor). Supposed to stay two nights, but we left after one. It was terrible. Absolutely the opposite of how the park used to be.

Views are awesome for the campsites and the park has plenty of recreation- beach, horses and hiking.
We def want to come back here!
Note: If the showers were hot, it would be a dream :)

It a wonderful place to camp out and ride.
Great facility and trails galore. You can ride to the lake which there is a beach and you and your horse can take a dip. Just a all around place to visit great scenery and plenty of riding space. There’s also nice pens for your horses that are safe and secure. The don’t have to stay tied and they are plenty big enough so your horse can actually lay down. I go twice a year and would go more if I could.

Plenty of room for each of the Horse Camp sites. 2 nice 12'×24' pens at each site. We had Deer in the camp ground in the evenings and into the night.
