Excellent park with many options when it comes to outdoor activities. Especially enjoined the Stargazing event lead by park rangers, stargazing from the hot springs after dark, hiking the Lost Mine Trail and Window View sunset. Visiting Boquillas was also a nice diversion across the border. Enjoyed the free ranging wildlife (javelina, coyote, roadrunners, foxes) and domestic animals (donkeys, horses, and cattle in small numbers) walking about the Rio Grande Village Campground.

Fresh water pumps to fill your gallon containers at the bath houses. This was very helpful. Clean and quiet, well maintained.

This was an amazing trip! The campsite was clean, and easy to access all amenities. The volunteer staff were always circling around and staying on top of the rules and giving that helpful feedback on the park. The NPS staff were always keeping the area clean and they were helpful with all information as well.
We will be back!

Loved our stay in Rio Grande Village. The spots were just spread out enough that it didn’t feel too crowded, but just close enough to give a good community feel. Bathrooms were well kept. We saw several animals and wildlife at our site. Can’t wait to come back.

BRAVO for the recycle options. The best we have seen over the last yr on the road. Plenty of critters in the campground javalenas, cows and horses. We will be back in the future.

An average car campground in the desert. Bathroom a little run down - Soap dispenser broken, one stall without toilet paper. Was nice staging area for a backpack trip.

Great site. Worked great for a large 6-person tent plus garage that fit nicely between the paved pad and the shrubs. Very close proximity to site 16, which was great for traveling with friends. May be less than ideal with loud neighbors. Charcoal grill is in a weird spot but we never used it. This site would not be recommended for a pull through trailer and is definitely best for tents. Lots of foot traffic from the nature trail but the quick and easy access to go to the nature trail view morning, moon, and night is a huge plus. Short walk to bathrooms, water, and trash.

The camp hosts at Rio Grande Village, Brian & Debbie, were friendly and helpful. So were all the other park personnel we met, as well as our neighboring campers. We enjoyed the plentiful wildlife and varied scenery, and we were up to the challenge of weather changes throughout the park. Going across the river to Mexico was a novelty and the many posted information boards were wonderfully educational.

Beautiful campground with spacious sites. Loved that there were flush toilets, a very well stocked camp store, showers and laundry.
