So glad the screen shelter had shutters. We were able to hang out during the rain and sleep well.
Facilities were clean. It was flooded but the view and location of site 63 was perfect for old ladies.
The park staff were very friendly and helpful.

We like this park, the area it's located in, and its proximity to Ft Worth. The trees need to be trimmed back on the roads and at the sites, and the boat ramps weren't in great shape. We enjoy the lake and the trails quite a bit and how much space you have at your site. The staff we interacted with was friendly. Overall, we recommend it!

Secluded creekside and open lakeside campsites. Updated grills and actively/recently renovated facilities. Wish I had time to hike the nature trail; lots of wildlife around. I was lucky enough to hear and see a fish jumping through the creek between sandbars. Hammock camping sites available with lots of tree cover.
