What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

We loved this spot where we could see the sunrise behind us in the morning and see the beautiful sunsets at night. A great Heron graced us with itβs presence daily and honked as it flew away. The grounds and bathrooms were well kept and there were no signs of spider webs on the hooks or under the bench. Hosts never stopped to speak with us (we werenβt offended) and the gate wasnβt working while we were there for fourteen days. There are alligators that swam by occasionally so be aware. We also saw many armadillos running around also.

In 2021 for July 4th weekend, 1-5, we booked sites 19-23 and had a great family reunion. This year 2022, July 1-5 we booked sites 18-23 which is the entire cove. We had such a great time at this park. The park hosts are traffic, while they didn't sing in our Karaoke they did partake in our Fish fry. They stayed a little while listening to us sing though. These sites are close enough to the bath house and dumpster that you could walk.....it was WAY TOO hot for that so our tent campers just drove. The kids had fun catching perch and catfish from the bank and piers. I would say that there are alligators in the lake so if you have small kids or fur babies make sure you watch them near the water. We were never in danger but there was an 8 footer and a 6 footer we constantly saw swim by. PLEASE DO NOIT FEED THEM!!!!!!! They are wild animals and don't need a reason to come ashore so don't give them an extra one. The campground is really quite, until we show up with our very large and in-charge Karaoke setup.
