Very friendly gate staff. Things can get a bit crowded on a summer weekend. During the week things are calmer.

Outstanding value at these Texas US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds. Well maintained and clean sites with stable, clean power and water at the sites with great views. Very helpful staff to greet us and help with relevant information on arrival. While our site was without sewer hookup, the dump station functioned well and was easily accessed. Great location in Waco with proximity to all things Magnolia or Baylor.

I love this camping location - beautiful trees, beautiful view of Lake Waco, and great campus sites - nicely paved, well maintained hookups, and always cleaned sites after campers leave.

Midway park is always a reliable favorite. This time the grass could’ve used some mowing, but overall the park was nice and clean. I don’t recommend spot 9 unless you have a short RV and all the good spots are only 30 amp. The 50 amp spots are up by the road with minimal shade.

Stayed at Midway following a day at the Magnolia Silos and Dr Pepper museum. Beautiful lake location with exceptionally clean restroom and showers. We never stayed at a COE campground before but it won’t be our last. Very nice.

Awesome spot, 17. At the end, huge room to spread out, quiet - almost impossible to hear the highway traffic, shaded just enough, can't wait to go back there

Glad we had trees around us, was hoping for 50 amp but #7 was great

It has become a definite favorite after only one visit! Shaded, great water view.
