A lovely campground. The gal who checked us in was so very helpful to answer our questions about the area and the camp. We were right on the Lake Waco with grand sunset views. So peaceful. Very quiet. Convenient off the highway. Level concrete campsite. We went to the Silos in downtown Waco, took a ride around the city on the FREE shuttle bus. The bus driver was so friendly and played tour guide for us around Baylor University and the city of Waco. We also went to Waco Mammoth Ntl Monument, what a find !! So interesting to think mammoths roamed this area, a must see ! The river walk was also a must see ! Loved Waco !!!

We have stayed at Midway before and liked it. Sites were clean. Check in was easy and friendly. Wish there was a bridge to park just across inlet as Midway did not have any hiking trail. Because water was so low, areas along camper shoreline were ankle deep in muck. Area by boat ramp were pretty good.
Would be nice if there were some kayak or paddle boards available to rent.

The sites are very nice and spacious. The camp ground is clean and the sites groomed. The shower house is useable, but needs a lot work in updating. The lady working the booth was very nice and welcomed us to Texas.

We were disappointed that it was a steep walk down to water, but a nice spot .
Both edges of asphalt need repair. Drops off when hooking up water and electricity;

The facility had nicely spaced campsites in a beautiful well-shaded area along the lake shore. The personnel were all incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. The sites were extremely well maintained. Proximity to all the sights of Waco was very convenient!
