Nice place! It would be fabulous is the other RV spots had 50amp service. We were limited to only a few spots due to electric power restrictions.
The host was extremely nice.
All in all we enjoyed our stay

At the gate it says, "If we're not here, proceed to your site and check in in the morning" which seems very reasonable. However, the reality is that if you arrive late, the gate is locked, and no one has the code, and you will be forced to boondock on private property or along a busy highway until they decide to open the gate in the morning.
Seems like there is a better way to serve guests than turning them away because they arrived past an arbitrary time. No info provided on Recreation.gov about a late arrival procedure. Gate code could have easily been shared via email for late arrivals.

We love this park. We stayed in spot 29 with full hookups and 50 Amp service for 6 days. We ended up needing 2 more days and moved to spot 11 with only water and 30 Amp with plenty of shade. Loved it . 40ft Class A.

Was very surprised how nice this place was. For starters a level pull through site with full hookups. Easy access to the lake made for a great spot to stop on our trek across Texas. Site was very clean and staff at the gate were very friendly.

This Park has many RV sites with full shade. This helps greatly during the 100+ sunny summer days!

The park was beautiful and our site was fantastic. The water level was low due to drought conditions but the view was still amazing. We will definitely stay there again!

Walking Water staff are the biggest joke ever. They are RUDE. The Core needs to drop that contract. We camp several weekends a year in Core parks.
