We stayed 3 nights in a motorhome. Many sites appeared to be difficult to level. Ours included. Close to places we wanted to see in Waco. Friendly staff. Would probably stay again if we are in the area.

Wonderful campground, very much enjoyed staying there. The campground itself, five star.
reservation.gov, though...
This was my first attempt to stay at a COE campground, I attempted to reserve a site. recreation.gov showed that Site 10 was available that day, so I clicked to reserve it.
The reservation page showed dates starting a week out, and I didn't notice that it had shifted the dates; I ended up reserving the site for a week later, and didn't noticed it. When I got to Midway, someone else was in that site. Fortunately, I noticed that the wrong date had been reserved before I went to ask them why they were in my site.
The *extremely* helpful camp host told me that it looked like site 17 was available; I went to recreation.gov and reserved it, paying close attention, and for this site, it did not shift the dates.
reservation.gov should not show as "available" sites that are not actually available, and shift the dates without warning when you click "reserve".
I will definitely look for COE sites in the future when RV traveling, and pay extra special attention to whether recreation.gov alters the date.

Nice park. Well kept.

Except for a fellow camper driving off while still connected to the water hydrant causing low water pressure for several hours, I would have rated five stars. However, taking into account the park curators left the spewing fountain go until the repair man arrived so the water would be off for the shortest time possible, I really should give it 5 stars.

We had to go buy an adapter to camp here but was a great experience. There is so much shade it’s very comfortable to camp when it’s hot. Will definitely camp here again

there's no swimming spot at Midway Park, but you can drive over to Speegleville to the beach area. Midway Park is more for the older people who just want to get away relax and enjoy being out doors, The worse part about Midway is there is really nothing for the kids to do within the park. But I love this place, it is quiet, no one messes with your stuff. I always enjoy it there.

Great spot with full hookups. Lots of shade and very peaceful. I would only recommend the staff check on the surrounding trees since we had a large limb break off right behind our camper

Nice little park with many shaded spots, but they don't mow. Had to walk thru 3 foot tall weeds to plug in electric and hook up water. Fire pit at our site was in really bad condition as was the wooden structure over the picnic table. I've never been to a place that charged $28-42 per site and didn't do simple maintenance like mowing. Why not? Boat ramp, dock and parking were nice. Some of the sites seemed level but many (most?) were not.

Love the park but HATE the tall weeds and grass. They had a mower on a trailer in the parking lot but I never saw them use it. Guess it was there for looks, getting peoples hopes up. Workers in the hut are always very nice and helpful.

Stayed in site 4 and 2 at Midway Park in Waco and both were excellent. They are more open sites with a Great Lake view.
