We were at site #30. The site was very clean. There were deer everywhere in the park. The restrooms needed attention.

The park is beautiful. The bathrooms and shower facilitates are gross. They were not cleaned according to the schedule and they need to be remodeled. Someone should circle through just after 10 pm to make sure quiet time is observed. The t.v. sites were terrific and well maintained. Thanks

Like so many COE parks, we were extremely pleased with spacious camping spots, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff.

We are just passing thru and only had one night in Speegleville but is was great. Greeted at the gate by a very nice and very informative gate host right after we drove very near to a few deer. Shortly after we saw a hawk in a tree hunting the grounds and then an Armadillo posed for a photo op.
Site 014 was easy to find and back into. The site is very level. I think the local deer population like this site a lot because we were able to watch 10 -15 deer within 100' both the evening we arrived and the next morning when we departed. We worked around the camper and they were not concerned unless it looked like you were walking their direction.
The campground is close enough that we could run to Waco for dinner and fuel. The road into the park has some wear and is not level but nothing that couldn't be navigated without causing damage, but proceed with caution.
The facilities all worked and were great.

We stayed here in a 32 foot Travel Trailer but there were 5th wheels and Class A campers here as well. The sites are large, some with covered picnic tables, they have fire pits, water, and 50 amp or 30 amp service. There is extra parking available too. There is a lot of room for walking and the lake is very accessible. There is no septic at the sites but there is a dump station and it is on the way out, not located near any campsites. There are showers and toilets, we did not use them. We saw a lot of deer here and Armadillos. It's a quiet campground most of the time, some larger boats make noise on the lake occasionally and some campers play loud music but quiet down at 10:00 pm.

Great place to stay. Beautiful view of Waco Lake. We had multiple deer sightings. Only 15 minutes from The Silos. Also the Wooly Mammoth Monument nearby is a great experience

From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 6 miles. After passing over the Lake on the Twin Bridges, take the first exit toward Lake Waco/Speegleville Park. Take a left on the access road. You will continue past the Twin Bridges Park about a quarter of a mile until you reach Overflow Road. Turn right on Overflow Road and drive for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance on the left.
