We have been going to Evans for 15 years. We always enjoy our stay. This year was a little quieter & as always we met new camp hosts. I understand they have a job to do, however between the large group we brought we all felt as if our campgrounds were constantly being watched. We never did anything that would cause attention. And we made sure to leave the campsite better than we found it.
They made rounds every hour. They also caused quite a ruckus with my dad who got confused over his stay. It definitely could have been handled differently. We aren’t sure we will be going back this year as we didn’t feel like we could just enjoy the campground in peace without the host watching. They were kind just didn’t seem understand boundaries.

We reserved site 29 which was extremely/weirdly close to site 30. The photos online did not show this information. The pic nice table and fire pit for site 29 was not convenient. If you are reserving site 29 either reserve site 30 for family or friends or be prepared to be awkwardly looking straight into other guests’ RVs when you walk out of your RV.

Camped at Evans over the Memorial Day weekend and as usual it was wonderful. Nice and quiet even though the spots appeared to all be full. Even though the lake was very low the grand kids got to swim. Our campfire group had a great time and the smores were cooking over the fire until everyone was full. Always a good time at Evans.

We had a very fun time camping at Evan’s. The water was low so it was a different experience than we normally have, but it was still a fantastic time. We were able to walk out onto the riverbed and saw a jet do a fly by. We have a blog about our experience at coachandgorv.com. We would highly recommend this campground.
