Camping at Evans Campground was good. Boat launch and dock made this place a 3/5 stars. Negatives were there was no camp host. So people were not following the rules like no off road vehicles and generators off at 10 pm. We arrived on a Friday and the trashes were all full by Sunday. We were still at the campground until Tuesday with stinky dumpsters overflowing until they got picked up right as we were leaving.

We were in site 22. Nice big site. Nice fire pit and picnic table. Easy access to the lake and restrooms across the street. Bathrooms were tolerable but we were there 4 days and never saw one person managing the campground. No Host. No Rangers. Campground definitely needed a bit of TLC. We would stay again for sure but hoping a host would be available next time to manage what was going on.

Making a reservation was simple, and I experienced no issues during the process of booking a reservation. The campground listing gave a very accurate description of the campground. The camp sites were very well taken care of (especially for it being so early in the season). It was nice to have the fire rings equipped with adjustable grills and well maintained picnic tables. The grounds were beautiful and the provided amenities were well maintained and very use-able. We had a wonderful time during our stay!

Overall a good campground but disappointed the launch was closed again due to the lake water being lowered before Labor Day. Use to be that the park service would wait to lower the lake until after Labor Day. We had to drive to Kettle Falls Marina to get our boat in the water. Very inconvenient. I don’t think we’ll go back to Evans for Memorial or Labor Day weekends. Too bad, it used to be our favorite campground.

It's a nice campground just make sure you put everything away at night. Someone came in our campsite and stole our lantern which was right next to our travel trailer.
