What Guests Are Saying
Evans Campground offers a beautiful location with spectacular views and well-maintained campsites, making it a great spot for families and friends. While some reviews noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and lack of water availability, the friendly hosts and enjoyable atmosphere contributed to a positive experience for many visitors. Campers appreciated the good boat ramp and access to the lake, and several expressed their desire to return in the future.

The site we had was plenty large enough and had good spacing from other sites. Bathrooms were clean. The large grass field by the boat launch is a nice place to play games, fly kites or whatever. Swimming and so on I cannot comment on as the water levels were very low and even the boat launch was closed because of that.
The dump station is level and in great working condition
As with all these campgrounds along the river lately, not sure what the camp hosts do anymore. We saw them drive twice around the loop in the cart on a 3 day holiday weekend. But luckily the other people camping around our area were considerate and there were no issues.
We would camp here again.

Pretty campground with massive areas for tents right on the lake. Some of the RV spaces looked pretty tight, but the tent areas were nice. There are several good places to put in kayaks. Restrooms were very clean. Note that this campground does not have water or power, so plan accordingly. I would have rated this campground higher but there was a party vote anchored on the other side of the lake that played its music constantly, loudly, until nearly midnight when a park ranger had to be pulled off working fire detail to go and shut them down (we talked to him and thanked him). They started up again the next morning, and again had to be shut down. After the third time they were "evicted" from their location. I hope they all had horrific hangovers. It is shameful that during fire season a ranger has to be diverted from the fires to deal with inconsiderate people.
