What Guests Are Saying
Spring Canyon offers a beautiful campground with well-maintained facilities, clean restrooms, and a lovely beach area for swimming and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the helpful campground staff and the peaceful setting, especially during off-peak times. However, some campers noted issues with noise from nearby sites, close proximity of campsites, and the absence of a camp host, which affected their experience. Overall, the location's charm and access to outdoor activities make it a desirable spot for many.

I had a site closest to the lake in the Lower Loop. It was a hot afternoon when I pulled into my site with my Toyota Corolla and erected my cot tent. The single most wonderful thing about this late afternoon -overnight stay was the walking access down to the fantastic public beach access which definitely rivals many beach resorts! The beach area included designated large swimming areas, beach-going showers, fantastic picnic tables widely spaced, and views of the desert-dominated hills across the lake. Flush toilets and clean restrooms were a real joy! Thank you to the Park Service for such a great facility!

This is not a super relaxing campsite. Not much in the way of privacy. Lots of noise late into the night. The best thing about it is the nice beach.

It was a convenient spot to stop for 1 night. Nothing great about this site though

I was disappointed with the campground. I stayed in the lower loop, which is set up for general camping; RVs and Tents. However, the arrangement of the sites have level, gravel parking but little level space for tents that are not on gravel. I slept on a grass hill essentially.
The bathroom had flush toilets that leaked, and the men's urinal was out-of-order. Not impressive especially for the busy summer season.
The trees and the waterfront areas were really nice though, as was the interpretive trail. And it is certainly easy to get to the town if needed.

The recreation guy who rides around in the golf cart is super rude, disrespectful of other cultures and stated to us personally that "Ukrainians are awful". The guy rides around flashing his flashlight in everyone RV near area where family is gathered and wants to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. I wouldn't come back only because of him!

Great stay. Please provide soap in the bathrooms! And the groundskeeper on the gold cart was very rude and said horrible things to us. He also said racist comments to us.

We have camped here on and off since the late 1990's. I still love it -but it has changed a lot. Here are some of the things I used to enjoy and appreciate that are no longer there:
1. Junior Ranger program - not any more
2. Rangers evident - they used to patrol every day which gave me a greater sense of safety when I was on my own. Not any more
3. Camp host used to stop by and say hello - not any more
4. Beach store used to be open for ice creams, drinks etc - not any more
5. Beach used to be "cleaned" of trash, lost property etc - not any more
6. Used to be (free) kayak trip to a nearby lake - not any more
It;s still got what nature provided - beauty. But it certainly isn't what it used to be.
