Campsite was fairly private, neighbors were respectful of quiet hours. Ranger talk on nite sounds was fun and I actually recognized a spotted owl a few nights later due to her talk! Also, those chirping “birds” at dusk are really bats. With my senior access pass a tent sight was just $10. A real deal. Restrooms clean, trash can area picked up, bear box at each site.
This campground was a nice option I stumbled into and would recommend.

Great base for hiking around the Park including a trail to Longmire Museum from where you can hike a number of more and less strenuous trails

Had an excellent spot. The campground was full, but didn't feel that way to us!

Went at the start of the off-season, had to walk a bit to the restrooms from the site due to various loop closures from tree damage/closing for the season. Be sure to check on fires, closures, etc when visiting any NP! The staff were friendly and helpful with planning around the fire below the park and accomplishing seeing what we could with the smoke.

The campground was outrageously beautiful. The sites were spacious and well spaced. The staff was super helpful.
What was not good was the website to reserve. We tried to call to get more info but we’re unable to find a number to get answers. After Labor Day we understood we could not reserve a site. On the list sites some were blank, some were ff meaning first come first serve. Yet some sites were R for reserved in the middle of fr on either side. It made no sense. We arrived at 11am on a Wednesday thinking that would be safe. But on that day the park service decided to close three loops. 50 campers lined up at 6 am to try to move to open loops. The next day a loop was reopened. We felt it was bad communication on the website and why close loops so early with so many anxious to camp?
Once we got a site on Thursday the experience was great.

The staff was amazing working to move our reservation around to accommodate our limited backcountry permits. We did have to move our site right off, but did not have to come out of the backcountry just to move mid stay.
The bathrooms were well maintained. Water and the dump station would have been a huge plus, but it was closed for maintenance I assume.
Our only criticism is that many to most of the RV lots are not very level. We had 7 inch disparity in the site A013 from side to side. It was very difficult to level and we still had a slope with all our leveling gear employed. Not sure if the sites could be graded a bit, but that would really improve the site for RVs.
