Had spot 23 on the A loop. Was right up against an offshoot of the river. Had access to the main river which was nice, and cold! I would definitely recommend either loop B or C - more shade, trees and privacy. Bathrooms were clean but no showers. Trails were awesome.

Positive: Our campsite had a view of Mt. Rainier (E025), which was nice. The sites are nestled in the forest, so there is good shade provided by mature trees. The campground is 20 minutes from Paradise. When the office is open, the staff provides good advice and help.
Needs Improvement: No dump station. The closest was in Morton. We did not see a ranger or anyone to attend the campground. So the sites were not cleaned up. The burn ban seemed more like they did not want to have to clean up the fire pit. The bathroom closest to us had only a bottle fill station for water.
NOTE: NO GENERATORS PERMITTED in loop E.

Go across the street and take the trail up to Cramer Falls and/or hike down to Longmire for a snack and a walk around. Get up to Paradise early for better parking and better chance of seeing wildlife.

Clean and quiet! Fairly large campground, some of the spots are shallow and less private, but overall a great experience. Very close to many attractions. Bear safe food boxes were present in our campsite

Policies concerning first come first serve site occupation need to be modified. Asking someone who is already occupying a site to move because they sold the site out from under you, to someone not there in person, ready to occupy the site, is unacceptable.

Great facility. We went when it was quiet just before some sites started closing for winter. Staff were accomodating and helpful. Facility was clean and well maintained.
