The staff at the gate house was awesome. The site I reserved could not have been better. I wish I could have stayed for my 21 days.
I will be back.

All was good except swimming in early June.
It was cool in mornings when we were there but.perfect for walks and biking.
Water was too cold early in Spring, good idea to plan to visit later in Summer for water activities.

A great place to stay. We enjoyed the lake and on the days it rained we went to Pie's and Pint's, Gualey River Pottery. It was a great stay.

I really like this campground and the beautiful lake. Usually we camp on a camper without a bathroom and other times it was fine. This time we came with a tent and a car because our destination was Myrtle Beach. Unknown to us the campground restrooms were locked from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. this was completely unexpected and unacceptable! If I know that in advance we will never stay there again!

They shut all the shower rooms down because they forgot to monitor the sewage until it was too late. Also the policy to change campsites on property is way too complicated. Some never showed up and the space was not made available to others…otherwise was an ok stay.

Had a blast at this camp ground. Bath houses were very respectable. The play ground in the middle of the park was great for kids. The park ranger must live near by because he never could be found. Overall would recommend the stay.
