This is a quiet small campground. And close to the lake is a bonus.

Lots of space within the site and between sites, very clean bathrooms! Close to town…just in case, but you feel out in the wild!

Its a lovely campground with good privacy betwen sites. It was windy so limited our campfires. Very windy Spring, everywhere on our trip. Our Verizon service was intermittent, one day not too bad and the next, non existent. Everything was clean, sites raked, bathrooms well taken care of. Beautiful sunsets, deer and birds.

Love this campground but there was a controlled burn during the winter. There is zero shade anymore and burn spots all over. We still enjoyed our stay …. We’ve come for years. In a few years it will be beautiful again!

The burning out of underbrush has made the campground, in general, fairly unpleasant. There was no campground host during our stay, that I could tell, our site was never updated to show that we had it reserved.

We really loved our stay here! Mostly reservations, with 3 spots that are first-come, first-serve. We rolled the dice and got lucky on a 3 night stay here. Our 2 large dogs were welcomed & happy. Bathrooms were nice, but got a little stinky after the park got busier. We loved the close by mountain biking trails and the proximity of the park to town. Highly recommend! We hope to be back.

We have camped at Yavapai before. We have enjoyed the shrubbery around the campground. Recently the forest service went thru the campground like a Cat 5 hurricane. We are definitely all for thinning the forests, but this was ridiculous.
