This is a really nice campground. The sites are mainly spaced out far from each other, so you don't see much of your neighbors. There is a good amount of trees and bushes to help with shade and privacy. Thought had clearly been put into the established level campsite, picnic table, retaining walls of stones to reduce erosion. In our campsite we saw wild pigs, lizards, lots of birds, butterflies. There were some guests who were playing music at top volume in the site next to the camp host, and it went on for hours before they finally turned it down (I asked politely but they told me it wasn't quite hours yet). This experience isn't unique to this campground, but it was disappointing. The outhouse is a neat composting one and was kept clean during the four days we were in camp. There are several nice trails for hiking, and a bunch of trails for mountain bike riding, that leave right from camp, so it's very convenient. Short drive to the town of Prescott if you need to resupply.

Small, campground but felt very private. Beautiful views, trail to granite Basin Lake, clean bathrooms , water available and trash. Will definitely stay again. We stayed at site 11. Our trailer was 23 ft tip to tip fit fine.

I arrived early to my campsite and waited for my friend to arrive. We took a walk around the loop and felt that we were very safe, quiet, and loved the nature we were surrounded by. We were conveniently across from the restrooms and the drinking water pump, and think we saw two people use the restroom.
I was initially concerned, expecting a lot of foot traffic. However, there was none and there was even a small path that cut through the loop that no one used. It was very relaxing & quiet. Most definitely will return.

Very unimpressed with campground host. Never saw them leave their campground in three days I was there. Campground sign said it was full yet many sites were unreserved

Nice little campground in all aspects except shade. The hosts however did not impress. They didn’t have their dog tied up and it attacked my wife, and also one of them came up to our campsite I think pretty drunk late at night. It was a little creepy. Never had that kind of experience with campground hosts before.

I reserved my space with RECREATION.gov and had a great time camping in the forest. All the campground sites are beautiful. Site #10 just fit my rig and has a large flat area behind the parking spot big enough for a tent and then surrounded with bushes and trees. #001 was better. A larger area for my rig, a large flat area for a tent, then big big boulders that you can walk around and more trees and bushes, just beautiful. At both sites I didn’t have a strong phone connection but was able to connect for a quick conversation; other areas in the park I had no problem with internet or phone connection.
