I love this quiet campground that is surrounded by water. The hosts are always very nice and helpful. My only reason for 4* is that they don’t have any trash cans, signs or dog stations with bags to help remind people to pickup after their dogs. I had to pickup 5 piles of someone else’s dogs poop out of my campsite before I could set up. I carry my own bags and take it to the dumpster (which is located of outside the campground) once a day. I think if supplies would be accessible it might not be as bad, especially small trash cans.

This is the nicest and prettiest COE campground I have experienced. The Dam Site Lake campground is basically a small island in a beautiful clear blue lake. Virtually all campsites have a great water view and most are on the water. We were in site 27 which was on the water but had some trees. Personal at check in were nice. Saw deer in trail area across from island and bald eagle soaring above the dam. Baby geese were swimming. Quaint Little Eureka Springs is nearby if that interest you. The Dam Site River campground is also nice if other is full but the Lake site is best.

The campground is great overall. Really wish the description of the site were better. You really do need to utilize the parking spot at the directly across from this one. If someone is parked there you will have to rely on their willingness to move their car for you. Not ideal. Had our trailer been any longer or the folks across from us unwilling to move, we wouldn't have been able to back in and it's only a 17' long trailer. Will pick a different site for future visits.

We didn’t stay on the island ,the island was perfectly beautiful . We had site 5 and the fire pit was really dirty and the site was very unkept but the worst thing was the toilets !!! It wasn’t a regular toilet it was Almost to the top of the seat with human waste. TERRIBLE and you have to travel to the island for a shower otherwise it was very quiet and the lake was beautiful but I don’t recommend not staying on the island tho

The bathrooms were disgusting. So full of poo and paper. Very
disappointing because the park was amazing and the views were the best

Was out on the island, very nice sites - only problem with ours (2nd row from water) is how far off the pavement is for leveling. We used all the blocks we had and saw others were using rocks to get level. Nice, paved pull through - just very surprised how much slope was in the middle area where you put your unit.

One of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at! Weather was fair, but found things to do locally, very well kept from the grounds to the bathrooms! Kudos to the staff from the park attendant to the cleaning staff! Look very much to stay again in future, understand why so hard to get into. Again, thanks to all at damsite campground for making my stay exceptional!
