What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

I don't know that I would use this campsite again. but it was a good experience. Bathrooms were locked early in the evening, but prior to that were some of the best campsite bathrooms I have ever seen. Beautiful location in the evening and in the morning.

I had to leave one day earlier than my reservation as the Toilets in the campgrounds were shut down due to issues with the Well (according to one camp manager) and a sign was posted to use the Vault toilets near the lake which was quite a walk. I hope they will be prepared as I have reservations for the month of July.

Amazing place, with a great mountain view.
Parking near a camping spot, table and seats.
Would love to come back.

Clean, organized campground. The only bad thing is that the Convict Lake Resort, which is right across the road, has large functions in a huge outside tent and there is loud music late into the night. Kind of disturbing when one of the nice things about camping is the quiet atmosphere.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years in the Spring to camp and fish with my brother, my sons, nephew, and dear friends. This year was the best time in years. Great weather, great fishing, great food, and great camaraderie.

great campground! not all sites are equal.. so use the photos to choose wisely. plenty of clean bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks with running water, mirror, tp. Spicket with water available outside each bathroom house Dumpsters and small container aluminum/plastic recycling. Bear locker. Didn’t see any bears or cougars.. Lots of deer, lizards. Expensive showers available behind the resort store, purchase tokens during store hours. $5 for 6 minutes.

Space 32 is probably the worst campsite in the campground. The metal fire ring was located right at the foot of the steps going in/out of our travel trailer. In addition to not being able to have a campfire (our trailer would gave caught on fire), the fire ring was a trip hazzard. We spoke to a park staff, who was very polite, but he told us the fire ring could not be relocated. My wife stumbled over the ring and fell one night while taking our dog outside.
