Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

The location it's perfect. Next to Convict lake, 15 min away from hot spring waters and 20 minutes away from Mammoth lakes. My only problem was that I stayed at site #11 and it has stairs. I sprained my both ankles and my sister her left ankle as well. That happened during the day and with shoes.

Wonderful lake! Easy to find our campsite. Bathrooms were in great shape and having water at the bathrooms was awesome - can't recommend this campground enough!

Over 1/2 of reserved campsites were no-shows. It is unfair to see unoccupied sites while people at the campground searching for a a site are told there are none available. Campground was clean and well kept. Campground hosts are pleasant

The campground is clean and well kept. Our site was near the bathroom which was also very clean. We had a site near the entrance which was perfect for us. We rode bikes to the lake and through the campground everyday. The sites closer to the entrance and lake are more spaced apart and more quite whereas the sites further down stream tend to be closer together and are are great for families with children. Camp hosts where very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this campground.

Clean bathroom and beautiful scenery. There are bears and don’t be that person who leaves food out, like one of our neighboring campers did. Not enjoyable waking up to people screaming bear bear.

This is a very popular camping destination, and view of the lake is absolutely gorgeous. Campsite are pretty close together and I have certainly experienced campgrounds where you have more sense of privacy. I was irked that someone about three campsites away played amplified country western music until fairly late in the evening. Also, I had no cell service at the this campground—which is a mixed blessing.
