It was a very nice place clean and host was very nice. I wish they did have all those rocks in the way because when I roll out my owning I could not use all the space. I would recomend it.

Your reservation system is over run by hackers. Those poor elderly campground hosts are running around like chickens with their head cut off. Every 30 minutes someone in a golf cart came by. Asking for more money. Half the sites were reserved but empty on a holiday weekend. Then go to a campground with out reservations and 50% of the sites were available. Stay away from Recreation.gov.

All of the sites get reserved online with in minutes of being released. Only way I got to stay there is by looking for cancellations and move every couple of days. Half the sites were empty with reserved stickers on them. No one showed up the whole time I was there. 50% of sites should be first come first served so people from this country can go camping. Not some bot looking to resell and make a profit.

Some spots are close together, like 45.46.47 are almost the same spot. Close to town

Beautiful campground close to downtown Mammoth. The sites were pretty close to each other, but other than that it was perfect. I would definitely go again.

Another year of a great family trip. Dry camping, the sites are clean, and we shower across the street. There is something for everyone to do. Good fishing, we take the free trolly up to the village or will ride our bikes down to Shady Rest Park for the annual family softball game, The kids like the little skate park there too. A good time!

We set up camp at Old Shady Rest for a week in August and stayed in an RV. It is a very rustic camping area with about 50 sites in a wooded area. The area was beautiful and while we did not use the facilities provided they did appear clean. The camp host was very nice and was kept busy with a full campground during our visit. We hope to be back again next year. Thank You.

Reserved Sites will be held until checkout time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of the second day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Please call the office at 760-934-5795 if you need to inform the campground of an arrival time greater than 24 hours after your arrival date, or if you will not use your reservation whatsoever. |

Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. In accordance with standard industry practices, Inyo Recreation will assess an additional $10.00 extra vehicle fee per day for the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered one vehicle, and the third and fourth motorcycle are also considered one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. |
