Pinnacles Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a variety of wildlife, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to numerous hiking trails, including the highly recommended Bear Gulch Cave trail. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms, hot showers, and generally private sites, making for a relaxing experience. Reservation was easy to make on line. Campground was clean and quiet. We enjoyed a great hike to Bear Gulch Cave and the Reservoir. The trails are well kept. The Park Rangers at the Nature Center were very pleasant and offered great information regarding the park and trails. We had a great time, so glad we took the time to experience this National Park.

The campground was clean and staff friendly. Overall nice experience, quiet at night even with a full campground. Would be nice to have some more trails that are on leash dog friendly.

Having ideal weather for our late February camping trip was very nice. But the big beautiful bonus was having a Ranger Naturalist working at Pinnacles National Park. Ranger Dan Ryan was full of information and context for all the Park's natural resources; most exciting for us was his knowledge of the Condors. Ranger Dan and his son, Jacob, led an excellent evening amphitheater program on bats, birds and other flying creatures. On Saturday, Ranger Dan led a bird walk adjacent to the campground, tailored to the interests and abilities of the attendees. Our 50-something kids grew up with Ranger Naturalists at National Parks. It instilled in them the importance of prioritizing the care of our National Parks for future generations to learn from and to enjoy. We have been saddened over the years as budget cuts have eliminated many Ranger Naturalist positions. The second big bonus was the availability of shuttles taking visitors to the most popular areas of the park. Kudos, NPS, for Ranger Naturalists and Shuttles!

Beautiful experience, my children had the best time, Bear Gulch hike was amazing. Slippery and dark, take shoes with grip and a head lamp is best so your hands are free. Lots of poison ivy on trail so be aware. Leaves are clusters of 3. Clean bathrooms and showers, water is hot, has shampoo/body wash. 2 showers, 3 toilets. Shuttle takes you to hiking area, last run at 530pm. Little store a bit pricy but far from town so try to not forget things. Wood bundles $20. Does get super cold at night. All in all we cannot wait to return, it was just what we needed.

Stayed at site 109. It backed onto a wooded area and a stream. Lots of wildlife.

Wife says campground gets a 7 out of 10. Bathrooms were far and few, and water kind of a pain to get to in our trailer.

Very good hikes. Amazing wildlife right in the campground. Turkeys, deer, roosting vultures and yes, with binoculars, condors.

- During peak visitation periods, access to the campground through the East Entrance station may be restricted. Delays can be expected due to high traffic volumes and parking reaching capacity. Expect long lines and delays [or possible restrictions especially] between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
