This is a great place. Most of the sites are not super close to one another and the restrooms are very clean. You can shower at Meeks Bay Resort with tokens. If a dip in the lake is not enough for you. Tha WK beach is small but people are nice and though not officially dog friendly, our dog was one of several very well behaved pups hanging out and swimming.

Nice quiet camp ground right across the street from the water in Tahoe city. Really can’t beat it as long as you don’t have a view of someone’s backyard!

Our camp host was awesome! thanks so much for being so welcoming. We had our 1 year old with us, and unfortunately ran out of firewood towards the evening. Ed was so nice and even let us put wood for the campfire on our tab because the office was closed. We payed for it the very next morning. We stayed in #38 with a large tent. It’s a smaller spot and sloped as you walk to your vehicle. Probably not the best for a camper in my opinion. This spot offers A Beautiful clear view of the stars which would be a great spot for a telescope and a hammock. Our neighbors were all very nice. The campground was soooo quite at night you could hear a pine cone drop. There is a small overpriced store right across the street that is great for last minute or emergency things. The beach was rather rocky so we did end up driving to kings beach, and getting stuck in 3 hours of construction traffic . No showers at this location which I don’t mind because Bathrooms were nice and clean. This campground is also nestled in the woods, but rather close to the street and somewhat in peoples backyards? So I thought that was a little strange. But if you get a site inwards, further back, or a yurt, it is easy to ignore the houses. We had a great experience but next time we will try a different campground closer to the sandy beaches. Thank you for having us for our first ever family camping trip.

My site number 60 had a trash can literally in the site, and it was overflowing with hot smelly garbage. So gross, so unsafe, and on top of it just being there you have to deal with people coming into your campsite every few minutes to deposit trash. The water spigot was also in our site and people just came in. No privacy at all. I know it’s a campground so that’s expected so some level but I don’t enjoy having every member of the campground come through.

The staff at William Kent really stood out to us. Ed and his coworkers were friendly, genuine and always helpful.
The bathroom facilities were cleaned every morning by the staff which was much appreciated.
We will definitely be reserving at this campground again!
