One of my favorite parks to visit, hiking from Lodgepole to Moro Rock is a unique experience.

Super friendly, great views. The visitor center and general store is at the front of the campground, so if you forget anything… no biggie!

We had a 24 ft RV in site 163. It was nice, near the river and had lots of space. This loop of the campground was nice, although it was fairly busy. It was handy that the shuttle stop was nearby, however, not to the campground's fault, this administration's budget cuts decreased the shuttle service by about 60% so they weren't running as often, and when they were they were very full and sometimes too full to let anyone else on. The drivers were very understanding of the frustrations. Please stand behind our National Parks!

Site122 is in a good location, close to a waterfall, not too far from the bathroom and not too close. Only one parking spot is available and overflow parking is way back at the entrance. One tent platform that can fit two tents or one very large tent. Good shade. The grill on the fire pit was broken. Water spigot is available at this site. Campground is nearby many great hikes through groves of the Giant Sequoias and Moro Rock. About 90min drive to Kings Canyon and Cedar Grove/Roads End.

Our family (including a 5-year old) loved this campground. Restrooms could have been cleaner.

Great and convenient location to go with family. Being near the creek made camping more surreal.

Nice campground with river running thru it. Nice private tent sites. Nice store and grill close by but busy. High elevation good for hot summers, although it was still quite warm. Be sure to get a site with shade if you go in summer as the sun heats tents up quickly. The only negative was the bathrooms. Very small and not cleaned often enough. Showers are outside of the campground at the visitors center and long lines in early June when we went. I would stay again.

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
