We had a great time, hard to avoid the meat flies but that’s nature

It was our first time at the park and choosing Lodgepole was our best decision. The visitor center was closed but the Giant Forest Museum is only a few miles away. The market was great and we ate ice cream every day. Bees were a nuisance but didn’t stop us from enjoying our smores. The campsites are great and we hope to be back soon to do the Kings Canyon side.

Women’s Restrooms were awful. Trash was piled in corners and overfilling the trash cans. So gross. We arrived mid week, thinking it wouldn’t be crowded. Very dissatisfied with Restrooms. We needed to move our reservation up a day so thankful to have a parking spot to pitch our rooftop tent. Unfortunately there was a tree right in front of our spot, so we had to ask our neighbor if they could share their parking spot. No rangers on duty. We had to forfeit our last 2 days and didn’t get a full refund. We do love to camp, but most likely will not go back to Lodgepole.

Beautiful our site was right on the creek. Beautiful days cold nights. You are not allowed to discharge bear spray FYI we didn't know until the ranger talk. It's so magnificent there. I saw that the payphones at the LODGEPOLE STORE ARE FREE TO CALL OUT ON.

Trailer site #168 was perfect for my 17’ trailer. Backing it in was really tight , but I did it. Beautiful surroundings!! Next time I will try for a more site more easily to back in.

Traveled from UK for camper van trip. Sequoia was our favourite national park and Lodgepole our favourite campground. It’s right in the park, very rustic and beautiful. Showers are a bit of a way off, but other than that it’s a great place. Spacious sites.

We arrived on a Friday, and that night there were several campers partying and being way too loud after quiet hours. Even though it was just after 10 pm there was no way to get to sleep. I complained the following morning and that night seemed way better. Then a 2 days later came the marijuana smell. The restrooms were atrocious and never once cleaned during our 4 day stay. I would never camp in this loop again, this is the second time in this loop we've stayed and both times we had this experience. It must be the party loop, and we come for the peace and tranquility. I highly recommend another area!

Dangerous Rivers! Many drowning victims were playing near rivers. Rivers present a far greater danger than lakes or pools. Surfaces may look calm, but strong currents often run below. Be cautious walking near rivers as rocks can be slippery. Getting out of a cold, swift river is often impossible.
