What Guests Are Saying
Dearhamer Campground is a well-maintained site with excellent fishing and a beautiful natural ambiance from the nearby rushing river. Camp hosts are friendly and keep the facilities, including the pit toilets, exceptionally clean. While some guests experienced issues with site assignments and off-leash dogs, many plan to return due to the overall positive experience and stunning surroundings.

Many people were fishing during our stay walking around and through our camp. Also the entire campground was extremely dusty. Some dust suppressant or paving is needed. The staff was very helpful and curtious bathrooms clean. Very nice lake its on.

I had a great time here. The campsite was very clean and quiet. The fishing was great and the views spectacular. Would recommend to a friend.

Bathrooms were not tended to. The camp host allowed a huge party (50+ people) on Sunday with no one actually camping (day use) in an area clearly marked for camping only, no day use. Otherwise, nice trip.

Absolutely amazing well kept camp ground close to the water, family enjoyed every minute of it. Bug spray highly recommended

Deerhammer is a small campground, tucked back at the far end of Reudi Reservoir, about a 45 minute drive from Basalt. There is convenient access to the reservoir for kayak or canoe, and at this calm, sheltered end of the reservoir we could spot fish. We were there in August and the mosquitoes were ferocious (the only negative about our stay).

Bugs and Mosquitos are unbearable in the summer season.

Nice location but, despite an on site warden, loud partying until 2am with unattended kids chopping wood with axes in the middle of the night whilst their drunk parents stumbled around the fire pit really did take the edge off the experience...
