We moved to site 44 and really enjoyed it. There was shade in the morning and afternoon and a lot of privacy. No view of the lake, but that really wasn't an issue for us. This was a really fun place to visit. The view is beautiful and there is a lot to do. We hung by the beach at the lake most of the time and set up a little shade tent. You can hike, swim, fish, paddleboard and play in the river next to the road in the way in. Not many mosquitos. The weather does change quickly here and the altitude is pretty high.

We spent the July 4th holiday weekend in our 20’ trailer and really enjoyed it. The sites are big and spacious and for the most part not on top of each other. Good, easy access to the reservoir for SUPs/kayaks. Several water spigots throughout. Our only complaint was the constant hum of generators. I understand their need at times, but it would be nice if this campground implemented generator hours so that people wouldn’t run them all day/night. After the generator users left on Sunday, the campground was remarkably more quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful reservoir and plenty of room to spread out. Layout of campground on ascending tiers is thoughtful. Tough finding shade in some spots, pit toilets are clean but sparse. Did not like the looping OHVs and generators, some people. Best site #38

The campground was very pretty, and the sites were well-kept. The only reason this is not a five star rating was the lack of intervention by the host with some loud campers. One camper ran his generator at 5a in the morning and, despite me telling the host, nothing was done. There was another camper who had a party with people speaking loudly at 2:45 AM. These are things the host should be on top of to make the experience good for everyone.

It's a lovely lake in the San Juan Mountains, nice campground with lots of space between sites. Quiet at night, and in the day we kayaked and paddle-boarded on the lake. Had dinner in South Fork only 13 miles away. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Such an incredible campground and actually, one of my favorites of all time! I reserved spot 20, which is about midway up the slope from the reservoir with a beautiful view of the whole valley. The campground is incredibly clean with sites spaced well enough apart for privacy. As stated in other reviews, the bathrooms are immaculate! Also, while I only met them for a short time when they did their evening rounds, the couple that take care of the campground are very friendly and accommodating. Lovely place!

The site was great! Only one neighbor so very private location. The restroom was very clean.
Unfortunately, someone was in our site when we arrived at check in time and ended up having to wait an hour for them to move before we were able to set up.
