What Guests Are Saying
Molly Brown Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, spacious and well-maintained sites, and easy access to Turquoise Lake, making it a favorite for many campers. The hosts are attentive, keeping the facilities clean and providing helpful recommendations for local activities. However, the lack of potable water and occasional issues with restroom cleanliness have been noted by some visitors, but overall, the campground is highly recommended for its serene environment and outdoor opportunities.

Huge sites, host is very friendly, and cool even in the dead of summer due to the altitude. Recreation.gov was also GREAT in helping with a reservation modification mistake we made.

Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of concern over “smoldering/ even flaming fire pits “. Checked in at 3:00 -guests checkout is noon— my site # 15 had a smoldering pit!! Contacted the hosts—she Replied “ yes, my husband has commented that SEVERAL sites had not put their fires completely out-one even had flames 🔥
This is totally unexceptable in a National forest campground-with the constant, continuous reports of fires throughout the American west!!!!
Possible solution -have hosts report those in violation (very easily done since all sites are now by reservation) FINE then $$ and refuse their request for future camping reservations !!!! WAKE UP —recreation.gov

Our experience was hampered by weather (very cold, then rainy and windy) But the site was very spacious and clean, and the campground host Rick was very personable, friendly and helpful. Turquoise Lake is very scenic, with a nice beach and nature trail. The campground as a whole is too forested and dark for my taste; I prefer more open, sunny spaces. But it was wonderfully quiet, which we appreciated.

Beautiful, wooded campground. The sites are nicely spaced and feel private. It's a short walk to the lake with a trail that goes around the lake. Amazing views of Mount Massive and the surrounding mountains from the lake.

Beautiful! Campground, site and lake were all fantastic! One major problem. No notifications on web sites that the dump station as well as fresh water faucets are out of service. Temporary water tanks have been brought in to allow filling of buckets and jugs. Other reviews had mentioned the situation but I was doubtful it still existed since the official web sites did not give notification of the problem. It does still exist! Dump before you get there and fill your fresh water tanks, Otherwise an amazing place, happy camping!
