I love Olive Ridge's proximity to Wild Basin! The two times I've stayed—even when making a reservation late—I've enjoyed the campsites. I'm rarely there long enough to need water (other than what I can easily carry in), but the only complaint/suggestion would be to have water available on-site.

This was our 4th time at Olive Ridge in 4 years time. The bathrooms have declined over the past 4 years and could really use some quality control. No cell service (GoogleFi). This is a nice campground for kids - lots of shade on most sites, boulders to climb on. We take all our water on all our camping trips since many campgrounds are like this one and no longer provide water. The Wild Basin entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is nearby if you are looking for a hike in the park. The campgrounds do not have hiking trails directly from the camp and do have a perimeter barbed-wire fence that is marked as private property, so I wouldn't advise cutting across the fence to "explore". There is a river at the bottom of the hill on the county road by the campground - fun bike ride down the hill, good workout going back! Estes Park is a short drive from the campgrounds as well.

The location of this campground and it’s proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park we’re perfect for us. We hiked into the park and saw Calypso Falls near the Wild Basin area. It was a yurt and we’ll maintained campground!

Road was washboard in several places getting into the campgrounds. Otherwise, the experience was great. Nice site & other campers were very respectful.

Generally we had a nice experience at Olive Ridge. The garbage containers were near overflowing which isn’t a good idea in bear country. Luckily no bears were trying to dine on this camping experience.

Water is not available at Olive Ridge. Please bring all the water you will need for your stay. There are not utility or water hook-ups, dump stations, or showers within the campground.

All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.

EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.

Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.

Tents must fit on the pads provided. All campsites with a tent pad have a bear locker. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted.

Pets must be on a hand-held leash at all times.

Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
