Olive Ridge is one of our favorites. Close to Denver with great, quiet sites and easy access to Estes Park, RMNP, and Wild Basin.

Great campground! Exceptional camp host!! Kurt was just the nicest person. A second host I think Nick was his name was great too. Kurt suggested places nearby for me to explore. Just great people.

It is a great campground, we are repeat campers. The camp host was awesome. The campsite we booked was very muddy, he helped us find a new one. The bathrooms were spotless and well stocked. The campsite was clean and the area around the firepit raked. I can't praise them enough.

Beautiful well maintained campground. Large campsites with lots of nice hiking opportunities. No water available at the campground so bring plenty for humans and camping canines!

The Host were awesome, so kind and helpful during my stay! Bathrooms were very clean and campground was well maintained. Had visit to my tent by couple curious bears at 2:15am. No issues if you practice Bear Aware. Only complaint is road noise but settles down the later it becomes. Very close to the Wild Basin part of the Park.

Simply, this campgrounds management is terrible. The "Manager" that comes to collect the fees doesn't communicate with the "Hosts" of the campground. When I changed sites at one point during my trip the "Manager" came by my site initially confused about the change, but we sorted it out and assured me that he would log it and I was good to go. The next day when I came back to the campsite after a day of hiking/climbing someone was occupying the site and it had been thoroughly raked and cleaned out, all of my firewood was missing. When I went to the "Host" he said he was never informed of my change and cleaned it out that morning. He explained that the manager only collects the fees and rarely shares info with them, leaving them in the dark and causing situations like this often. He helped sort it out and ended up giving me the site back and I was relieved. Until the next day, when I returned to the same thing again! This time I just went to a new site, slept, and didn't return to the campground for the rest of my trip. The "Manager" and "Host" were both friendly and kind, but the lack of communication between them caused too many difficulties for the simple time of camping that I was looking for. I'm not interested in having to get my site back every time I roll back into camp. Also, it is super lame that the campground does not have any potable water and that the sites are discounted there for this reason, but that price is not reflected on recreation.gov.
