What Guests Are Saying
Pinon Flats Campground is well-regarded for its friendly camp host, Nancy, and beautifully maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and stunning views of the sand dunes. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere, ample tree cover, and easy access to hiking trails. However, some sites are small and not fully accessible for individuals with mobility challenges, and issues with noise from other campers have been noted. Overall, it is a memorable camping experience with great amenities.

Such an awesome place to camp! Beautiful views of the Sand Dunes, spotless bathrooms, and even a dishwashing station! We had a fantastic time.

This is a nice, quiet campground. We appreciated the bathrooms, especially the family one that made it easier to be with my children and handle medical situations. The dishwashing sink was also nice to have. The trail to the bathroom did have cacti along it, so at night we stuck to the road, which worked well. The site was a little small to fit both our regular tent and screen tent, but we made it work. Definitely bring bug spray!

This site was conveniently located close to the bathrooms, which made things easier, especially at night. While it doesn’t offer a view of the Sand Dunes, the area was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. A solid choice if you’re looking for comfort over scenery.

The campsite we reserved was very small. They expected 8 people to fit in it when my family of 4 were stepping over each other to get around. The sites are way too close to each other as well. The best sites to get are the group ones. I only gave it two stars because the bathrooms are very clean and amazing. I also enjoy the little shop that sells wood and food

We try to make this a regular visit every other year. Great camping and we love hiking the dunes. Great place to relax for a few days!

Loved the dunes but the bugs were intolerable. Cancelled 2nd night.
