Very close to the sand dunes. The other campers around were quiet. The campgrounds are rather close together, so having good neighbors is very important. Bathrooms are abundant and clean. The view of the dunes was amazing.

Beautiful place, easy in and out. The dunes are walking distance away. Over all great, even for a one night stop.

Ended up with a very nice space that had a bit of shade from the sun and plenty or room. Location of the campground is the highlight as there is a trail right to the dunes that goes through it so it was easy to go out on the field in the morning and night for sunrise/set views. There are also other trails that leave direct from the campground so you won't need your car much. Bathrooms were convenient to all sites and were clean.

Overall experience was great. Site was a bit tricky to get our 25' trailer into given the angle required and narrow road, but we got it in. Hands-down the cleanest bathrooms of any National Park.

Beautiful campground with views of the sand dunes and good amenities. Beautiful trails and the bathrooms were clean (flushing toilets!). There was even a sink with potable water. The only negative during our stay was that the noise curfew was not enforced and we could hear the group lot well past quiet hours. Lovely space nonetheless and would camp here again.

Pinon flats was so beautiful. We were at the large end of campers that would fit in the campsites. Campsite generally only fit smaller rigs or tents. I'm aware big rigs would be left out of the experience...but for the smaller ones, the campground is quiet, cozy and intimate with gorgeous views and great night skies.
