Always love camping/kayaking at Heaton Bay. Grew up there before reservoir went in, in early 60's. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. They added bear boxes this past year at all sites. Wish they hadn't placed it right where I like to put my tent, next to the trees for a shady afternoon nap. Oh well. Water level was much lower mid-June, making my towing my kayak on dolly more a struggle, but couldn't be helped. I have an 85 lb kayak, and am going to consider downsizing, although it's safe out in the middle of the lake on stormy days with my dog. Will definitely return!

We had an awesome spot. The best part of this campsite is all lots have some space between you and other campers instead of right on top of one another. Camp hosts are awesome, too! We can’t wait to go back!

Very clean and nice campsite. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A big plus was bear containers on site.It was a little difficult to find the rest rooms and you had to do some walking from loop A but not terrible. Overall it was a very fun camping experience.
