Heaton Bay at Lake Dillon, CO is a beautiful campground with gorgeous views of the lake and the mountains. All dry camping unless you get into loop C which has electric only.

Lovely location...a lot of construction in surrounding areas. Trailers/RV's may not travel over the Dam so look for the alternate route via Frisco.

The campground was in a great location - right on the bike path around the reservoir and right by the lake. I didn't realize that our tent site was not going to be adjacent to where we parked. It was about 50 feet away. The only downside was that our site was downwind of the toilets.

My friends and I went and everyone around us was told to “watch out” for us and to call the cops if we made any noise after 10pm. We were much quieter than everyone else around us (who played music till 2am). Our campsite neighbor also would not leave us alone and made us very uncomfortable. The campsite is okay, but you can hear highway traffic all night. Overall, not a good experience for me and we were not treated with respect
