Great view, close to the bathroom and trash. Bring your own shade

We live close by so came here to hang out in Summit County for a couple of days. Had not been to this campground since the beetle infestation, and I was surprised at how well it had recovered. A couple of parties ran their generators constantly, legal but unnecessary and annoying since they seemed to be watching television on a couple of beautiful evenings. We will probably come back but it won't be in the regular rotation.

Campground was quiet and in a beautiful setting. The mountains and lake made it a restful and enjoyable place to stay. Well run and clear signage made it easy to find our spots.

The sites are spacious, and many have good lake views. The access road, however, is in horrible shape. We suffered through a mile of washboard surfaces before we got to our campsite. We came for road biking, and the access to the bike path system was a couple of miles away over gravel and potholed pavement.

I would have said great, but there was no firewood to purchase. We went to multiple camp hosts and finally one said that even the gas stations were out. This is unacceptable! There was plenty of dead trees to cut up, so there was no reason for the shortage. Sadly, people were illegally cutting down wood in the campground.

Overall we enjoyed this campground…nice trails on the lake and well maintained grounds. Two improvements would be to let people know that the hose bibs for RV fill potable water are locked, and not available for use; and that tent campers are mixed in with RV campers (not separated in different loops) which leads to significantly more outside noise. We had a good view of the lake from our campsite, and we loved the proximity to the Summit area.

The site photos need to be updated. The trees have grown and our site as well as some others no longer have the lake views we were expecting. Still a very nice campground though. Nice space and privacy between most sites.

Overall nice campground. Wish they would work on the road going into the campground. Very rough and full of pot holes and "washboard".

We love this campground! Of course it is ‘dry camping’ and several miles from a dump station, but the sites are spacious and lovely. It’s a short walk to the Dillon reservoir and Loop D has some nice lake view sites. The campground is close to several towns and ski resorts, all connected by a great (mostly) paved trail network.

Campers must occupy the site the first night at a campsite. This prevents booking the site for Fri-Sun and showing up on Saturday. |
| General |
Campers may leave the site for 24 hours and must occupy the site otherwise. This allows a camper to say go for an overnight backpack trip in the woods for one night and come back to their campsite the next day. |
