I advise others with a Senior Pass to be certain to use it as part of your reservation application, since once you have made said reservation you will not be able to get a 1/2 refund. Once they get your money, they will keep it. Justice? Get Serious! You should have spent hours reading all of the rules. It is your responsibility not to make a mistake. If you make a mistake and inadvertently pay too much, you will not get a refund. If you ask park personnel they will tell you to talk to Recreation.gov. If you do call recreation.gov they will tell you the park manager has to make that decision. They tell you they will submit your request and info to said manager. Of course what happens is that no human ever reads said request, a computer algorithm instantly rejects your request , and sends you a prewritten notice instantly, and I do mean instantly. Would that draftees like myself, who were sent to serve as medics in Vietnam had similar computer generated algorithms. We could simply have pushed the "I'm not going" button and saved ourselves considerable grief. As you can see from my record, I did use my senior pass at Ft. Peck, at Two Medicine, and at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. So I did learn from my earlier $34.50. error. I promise to be better informed and prepared...... if I ever visit another Federal Facility again.

A truly beautiful place. Our site was adjacent to the water and had a great Mountain View. It was also across the street from the bathroom, a huge plus!

We loved Many Glacier Campground, the sites were somewhat close together but they have allowed vegetation to grow and allow for a somewhat more private camping experience. The location is excellent if you are after easy access to trailheads but a bit of a drive to the nearest town. The store has most things you would need in an emergency but they do not carry rv toilet paper, so stock up! There are a couple campsites that have large community dumpster right in the campsites and have constant traffic, I reccomend they move the dumpsters or get rid of those campsites as they are very loud to the folks parked there. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and cant wait to go back!

Had a reservation for 2 nights but wasn’t able to camp because of bear presence in the camp ground. Which I understand why but I was not notified until i showed up to the campground late in the afternoon. I couldn’t make any other reservations because it was too later

We arrived at Many Glaciers campground late on a rainy, cold evening only to find that the campground was closed to tent campers - and we had no other means to sleep. There was no notice at the entrance, no notice on reservations.gov, no text or email to tell us to find other accommodations while there was still daylight and still cell phone access. While I find reservations.gov to be quite useful, I urge you to develop some kind of texting notice when such events that we experienced at Many Glaciers occur unexpectedly.
