Gallo Campground is a nice place to stay for access to Chaco Canyon. I don't understand why the government does not maintain the final 4 miles of the unpaved road from the northern access. It should at least be gravelled on a regular basis, as is the county road for the first 10 miles. For anyone coming in for one night, especially with an RV, it's not really worthwhile. Other than that, everything is great!

Words can't really describe this area. You have to see the ruins, the night sky, the vastness of the land with your own eyes. Remarkable.

We were warmly greeted by the camp ground warden, who also helped us with further information. The sites are well kept, the fireplace clean.

Roads flooded due to rain. Then campground flooded and was closed. No camping possible on this trip.

It was one the best adventure I've ever experienced. The camp sites are nice and clean with real toilets instead of normal camping restrooms. This place is something I believe every person should experience at least once in there life's. Thank you for such a spectacular experience... Definitely will be back Chaco Canyon until next time

Excellent campground, clean bathrooms & cold filtered water station. Easy access to visitor center, guided and/or self guided tours through the ruins. Stargazing is fantastic in among the ruins!

Gallo campground has the necessities covered: tent pit, dining table and convenient toilet and sink. It was very comfortable and worked well. Chaco Culture Center is amazing and a must see.

Enjoy our stay at Gallo campground. Long drive on bumpy road to Chaco Canyon but we’ll worth it. The campground was clean. Bathroom had flush toilets. Water was readily available. The night sky was utterly amazing. Perfect place to camp when visiting Chaco Canyon.
