Very pleasant woman at the check-in/check-out booth. Shower was a little low pressure. Sites were flat, clean, quiet.

Great campground with several loops and different options (some tent only spots, some with electricity etc.) in Pisgah National Forest. Hiking and mountain bike trails nearby and Asheville, NC was a short drive away.

Site 045 = Double Site - This drive through site wasperfect for camping with our friends. It had two water, electric and sewer hook ups for our two campers. If we had gotten creative, we could have figured a way to park the rvs and still get both trucks out. Instead, we had one truck trapped between the two rvs with no way out...oh well. It worked out fine. The park staff was very friendly and informative. The park was lovely with walking trails, a beautiful lake and beach. Th. bathroom facility was heated and clean. It was close to Asheville and all that it has to offer. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful park. Nice spacing between sites, clean restrooms. Host when checking in was very friendly.
Will stop again if close to the area.

We only stayed one night, but the grounds and campsites were very nice. The staff were helpful, too.

I really enjoyed my time at Lake Powhatan. I reserved a camping site and there was a sign with my name on it which I thought was very nice. The campground was very clean and the Lake was beautiful. I would return.

Great campground. Lots of hiking trails, nice little lake and close to shopping but you'd never know it. Wonderful friendly staff. A return stop for
sure. Good cell service AT&T and plenty of antenna TV for rainy days

The staff member that greeted us was extremely friendly and helpful. The sites are large, (at least ours was), and gave plenty of space between sites with plenty of trees. We've stayed here twice and really enjoy this campground. Lots of bike and hiking trails nearby.

Campsite 27 was a great, large campsite. Very close to bathrooms/showers, water spigot, and a short walk to the lake. Level area with plenty of space for 2 tents. Previous reviews said the bear box was installed backwards, but that is now fixed. Tons of hiking in the Powhatan area, and just a few minutes from civilization. Spotty cell service (T-Mobile).
Only issue was one of the two bathrooms' sinks was not functioning while we were there, but we heard that was getting fixed the day we were leaving.
