New favorite place to camp. The NC Arboretum was amazing and had great trails.

This was a great campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the sites were spacious and very nice. Large trees all around provided excellent shade. Bathhouses were clean. It was close to Asheville and multiple hiking and biking trails. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Bathrooms and showers very nice and warm in cold weather. Bike trails are fun but better signage and maps would be helpful.
Enjoyed trolley tour in Ashville. Biltmore is great but expensive!

We loved camping here, we had enough space and privacy, the showers were nice, clean and had hot water, bathrooms and showers had heaters for the colder months. The only thing we wish we had was a sink to wash dishes. We did not have any designated area to do so and its understandable since it’s in bear country but that would be a great addition.

This is an amazingly well kept campground. Proximity to Asheville (10 minutes), yet it is forested and very quiet. The loudest noise was from the two canadian geese on the lake. Lots of trails in and around the park. The lake is clean. The facilities are kept very clean, bathrooms are well stocked, and the staff comes in behind a departing camper and makes the campsite clean. The staff even goes so far as to clean the firepit. All the roads in the park are well paved as well as each site. This park is in better condition than many of the national forest parks near the national parks in Montana and Wyoming. Highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed

Tent camping is mediocre at best. The staff works hard, the sites become mud pits in the rain.

Great hike from the campsite to Hard Times trail then down to the Arboretum and Bent Creek.
Some campsites don’t have water hookups even if they have electricity.

Great proximity to Asheville, North Carolina Arboretum, Biltmore. We camped in Lake Loop 39 with full hook ups. We did not use the bathrooms but they looked clean and maintained along with the showers This loop was wonderful with spacious private sites. Some sites might need extra help leveling. So many trails accessible right from the campground. We will return!
