What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

I was on site 77 and had a hard time as I am handicapped. I didn't realize it had steps. I was planning to tent camp but had to unload my car and take everything up the steps. I had planned on using my SUV with a net tent to set up my kitchen area and sitting area. I was not able to use it as the car was parked at the steps. This site had 2 areas where I could have driven up to the camp site and not have to carry everything up and down those stairs. I think that was a poorly planned site. Also, most campers now have power stations that need charged. the only power plugs were at the pavilion and had to be shared. Only 2 plugs and I had to carry my Jackary power station all the way to the pavilion. The bathrooms had power, why not put plugs on the building to be used. Otherwise the campground was beautiful and well maintained. I would return but too many stairs. I know it is in the mountains but and stairs are needed in some spots but looking at this one I was surprised it wasn't more user friendly.

Loved this park, cleanliness of restrooms, etc. Wondering why there are no tags on each campsite saying Reserved, etc.

There are no longer any cash or card options to process camping fees. The Host is unable to assist with payments or location alterations. All changes must be through the Reserve site, which can be difficult due to connection issues. Reminder: Loop C is woodsy, most sites require accessing by stairs and the paths to the water are steep. Something to consider before committing to a reservation.

We loved the campground! Especially the B and C loops. We walked all the loops and picked out favorite sites for return trips. The only problem was the bathrooms across from #64. The right toilet didn't have any water to the sink. The left shower was dripping pretty badly and the room was steamy from the hot water. I was able to fix the push style handles to stop the flow. But after that there wasn't any hot water in either shower and the big building with the 4 toilets and showers didn't have hot water either the rest of our stay. I was told by one of the park officials, that they have small individual hot water heaters.
We even came back for one night to #74 to visit friends we made the first time.
Over all beautiful location and great sites.
We'll be coming back!
Thanks

Beautiful fall foliage with many campsites by the water. There are hiking trails with access both from the campground and more close by. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jackrabbit Mountain in our 18' camper trailer!
