What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

The mountain biking and hiking is great. It was beautiful on the lake with the fall leaves changing colors. We were in C loop. Note that NONE of the water spigots have threads on them. They have all been filed off intentionally to prevent RVs from filling their tanks there. There is fresh water at the dump station; which we were not aware of, and there’s no signage. We saw this as we dumped on the way out, and it would have saved us a lot of time and hassle with 2 of us - one trying to hold the hose tightly to the spigot while the other turned on the water just below the pressure that it sprayed all over us. It took 30 minutes in the dark to get enough water in the tank for our two days.
Then we had a group of 3 families at the site next to us who were up by 6:30am and allowed their kids to scream at the top of their lungs, and we were awoken the second day by kids jumping up and down in an aluminum canoe while the parents did nothing. At night, a group of partying guys yelled and laughed drunkenly until the early hours of the morning. We called the park manager, and the camp hosts had been let go due to some problems, so there was no quiet time enforcement.
I might consider returning for the mountain biking trails, but my wife said she would not camp there again.

This campground has become our happy place. It is family friendly and we always have a great time. We came once a month for 5 months, twice in one of those months! Only complaint would be the first B loop bathroom was reliably filthy and without toilet paper on every single visit. The sink did not work in one of the stalls 2 weeks ago and the shower was essentially useless. It was strange bc none of the other campground bathrooms were as bad as that one at any point. Make sure you always have a spare roll with you:)

Jackrabbit Campground is a wonderful place to camp. There are so many activities---hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming! The lake and sunset views are breath taking!

Good campground. Nice some large site in the c section. Water was nice. Mtn biking riding was great. Facilities could be better. Be prepared with soap and toilet paper. We had a small popup which fit perfectly but the door faced the wrong way to the site. Kind of pain when getting food and going in and out of camper. Enjoyed our stay.

Jackrabbit campground is in a beautiful location with sites located all around a gorgeous lake. The sites are well cared for and not on top of each other - at least in loop A. However, the generator hours are totally unreasonable if you are in a motorhome. Hours are 10:00 am to 10 pm and limited to 3 hours per day. The 10pm time is fine but who waits until 10am to have coffee in the morning? And for a larger motorhome, 3 hours per day is hardly long enough to keep batteries charged. Maybe the campground needs to be divided to allow tents in one area and units that use generators in another. Funny thing is, the sites were far enough apart in our loop that I could barely hear the generator running at the neighboring site so not sure what the issue is. Again, it is a beautiful campground but wish it was more big rig friendly.
