What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

The campground itself is nice and the lake is gorgeous. The women's bathroom in group C was gross and clearly had not been cleaned in a while. Our campsite was very clean however in the pictures and on the map it didn't show that there was another camping space not 20 feet from our firepit. Although they were very nice, they were loud until 3 am. With a low noise policy beginning at 10 pm, it would have been nice to have the attendees check in to see if there were any disturbances and keep it enforced. Better pictures/descriptions for the camping site would be very helpful in choosing a space that is more suitable for the experience we were hoping for. Overall, I would recommend Jackrabbit Campground and we will be back just not to the campsite we'd originally visited.

I LOVED my stay at Jackrabbit as always!
The only reason I gave a 3 star review is that I mentioned some poison ivy that was *everywhere* on the two sites we had booked
I would have appreciated if the camp hosts had taken this more seriously when I bought it up.

Very awesome, my camp had access to the lake. We got our kayaks and paddled most of the time. Had shade and used insect repellent candles
Had access to shower and bathrooms and they were clean.
At times you can hear the next camp but trees and elevation were perfect cover.
Were able to park a car and truck in designated Parking provided with camp. Had a extra car and there was additional parking place not too far from the site. Hosts are sweet and very knowledgeable.
Caution no fire wood at the campground. There is a gas station 3-5 miles away from the campground that had wood.
We enjoyed the stay and decompressed

I love staying here, but the 4pm check-in time is very late compared to the other places we stay. All of the other campgrounds in the region seem to have a 1-2pm check-in time. It really matters when you're trying to make the most of your trip. A 4pm check-in time eliminates some of your time for hiking, water recreation, etc. Check-out is 12pm, so I just don't really get it. We watched, and all we saw the host do was come around and pick up firewood that someone left for the next campers. This was bundles of heat treated wood, so I'm not sure why they didn't leave it. We didn't see them cleaning up or prepping the sites for the next campers at all. Also, the trash cans at the dump station were overflowing. Bagged and loose trash was piled up all around the cans. It seems like their time would be better spent changing the trash rather than taking up firewood that someone left for the next person.

Campground is excellent. Nice spaces but generator rules are not enforced. Some campers next to us ran their generators all day.
