What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

October is the perfect month to camp at Jackrabbit. There were few campers, so it was remarkably quiet. Despite the campground host having left early, the restrooms were always clean. Cool nights and gloriously warm days, with stunning fall colors in the surrounding woods. We went geocaching, hiking, and kayaking, all from our campsite. One day we explored the surrounding towns, particularly enjoying the historical exhibits in Hayesville. There are very cool displays in the library, of all places. We plan to come back!

Great place to camp but generators running 10:00 am to 10:00 pm ruins the experience. 3 hr max per day needs to be enforced.

Great time at Jackrabbit! Quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms were fairly clean. No soap or sanitizer (bring your own). Hated there was no campground host on duty in case we needed something! We will definitely be back!

Awesome little playground close to Clayton, GA. I visit often since I love mountain bike riding. Decent trails accessible right from the campground. Facilities on the campground are average/above average. While there, drive to Bell Mountain. Awesome view of Lake Chatuge.
