What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

We stayed on loop b and loop a. Each site was clean. The bathrooms were clean and the warm showers was a welcomed surprise before bed.
I don’t know if they spray for bugs or not but the bugs were almost nonexistent.
Thank you.

This place was great! We loved being able to bring our dogs and camp right next to the lake with our own access to swim. My daughter and doggies loved it. Even though it was hot during the day, it cooled off at night and there were zero bugs biting. The area was quiet and not busy when we were there.

I do not like the reservation system.

The campground was nice, but I was there during the week when it wasn't busy at all. If I had neighbors, they would have been really close and in full view. My site was right on the water, so that was lovely. I even had a little "beach" in front of my site. The hosts drove through a few times while I was there, so that was reassuring. What I did not appreciate was the fact that there was conflicting information online about how to reserve a spot. I took a chance and didn't make reservations. When I got there, a sign stated that it was $20 for a site, which I thought was quite reasonable. However, it also stated that reservations MUST be made through recreation.gov, which added $8 to the total. There was no option. So, it is not $20, it is almost $30, which to me is not reasonable for a tent-only site without hook-ups. And that does NOT include the fee for the beach. That's an additional fee.

We rented sites 3 & 4 for a family camp. Not bad located directly behind camp host only has one tent area, all other ground, not suitable for tent. Hard to set kitchen up due to lack of flat area to do so. Not a bad walk to shower/bath houses. Several
Steps to access site. Nice trees, for hammock options, kept the men happy.
