What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

Camped here a few times, love the campground but not some of the people who visit. You have to fill your water tanks as there is no water on each pitch. Twice J had someone turn off the water and disconnect my hoses while I was filling my tank. Somehow ther are a bunch of fishermen who think they own the place. Spoils a nice campground.

We stayed in site A21 last week. A21 is a water (lake) site. We have a 29/32 ft bumper pull. Upon arrival we backed in fine but quickly found out that A21 was not a level site. In fact we had to hang the back of the camper over the back of the pad. It was way over slanted and we had to resort to having our tongue of the camper sitting on the ground just so our refrigerator would work. It was so uneven that the door of our camper would not shut properly. We had to literally slam the door shut and lock it so that it would stay shut.
We will not be going back to Hawthorn Bluff again.

We called twice to make sure our camper would fit into a spot before making reservations the person that answered the phone had no idea what he was talking about, The bathrooms were out of toilet paper the entire weekend in two of the stalls, the water Spicket‘s are not close enough in the spot we stayed in unless we would’ve had multiple hoses, we stayed right next to one of the camp host the spot we ended up getting put in was a nice spot but the camp host had dogs that barked the entire time and did not do anything about it. Not a great stay and the last two times we’ve been have not been very good.
