What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall a clean camp ground. The picnic table site we were at needed some work. It was covered in mud and dirt. The retaining railroad ties were is poor shape and accident hazard.

I accidently left my wallet and phone in the restroom and the most honest person returned them to the office, we really enjoyed our weekend

Beautiful camp grounds! Loved the lake and the kayaking. The hiking trails were well maintained and easy access. We will be back and stay longer next time.

I had a great stay at hawthorn bluff except the Campsite had asphalt the same size as the RV than dropped off. I stepped down multiple times on the edge. Bathrooms were nice with good showers.

If you are lucky enough to get a fairly level site, this lake is great. Beautiful site. But, many sites are really hard to get your RV level without being super high in the air.

Great shady spot with a gorgeous view. We had a water spigot across the road which was very convenient. We walked the nature trail and loved the views on the bluffs by the water. If you leave trash or edibles outside (even in a ice chest) the raccoons will raid it during the night but I think that would be the case anywhere outdoors. We will definitely be returning to Hawthorn Bluff.
