What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

Very disappointed with the way the park is run this year the one reason I camp there is the fishing only dock that boats are tying up on and people climbing over the rails and launching kayaks people parking in the road going the wrong way on one way roads there were trailers parked out so far no the pad I couldn't get my trailer by them and the the site was littered with trash will not be camping at hawthorn any more there was no help from the camp host or the the park ranger I spoke to

Nice large campsite. There were racoons running around at night. Beautiful fireflies everywhere. We were in the Electric section and the campsite are pretty close to each other so it’s not as secluded and private if you’re looking for that this place is not for you. Restrooms were clean and not as nasty as other campgrounds I’ve been in so that’s a plus.

Hawthorne Bluff is very beautiful and peaceful. We make it part of our summer every year-Lot 33. There is a very nice grocery store only 2 minutes away.

Oil spilled on the picnic table cement in April was still there and dirt from spring rains in April wast still under the picnic table. Rocks and sticks on pad sight had to be removed to level our camper. This campground used to be really clean.
