Campground was nice. Inconsiderate campers kept hooked up to water with splitter, causing the rest of us to "ask" them for water. Bathrooms were great. Please consider selling firewood, especially on holiday weekends.

I love this spot. Unfortunately, we were by rude and inconsiderate campers. It was so bad that 3 campers couldn’t handle the loud vulgar music and packed their families early Saturday morning. I wish I would’ve joined them. On Saturday, they held a birthday party with 25 or more guests and seven cars on the camp site. There is supposed to be a 10 person maximum. They had 3 or 4 dogs and they barked nonstop. Finally another camper called the Park Ranger because the adult males in the group started a fast pitch baseball contest and almost hit another campers son. Another lady and myself finally went to the volunteer station to see if we could be refunded our money. It was a disaster of a weekend. It seems the volunteers don’t have much authority, which is unfortunate. I’m hoping Hawthorne Bluff isn’t overrun by partying, it used to be a family friendly spot.

Wish we could stay hooked up to water. Don’t mind the water in the tank for some things, but take a couple of jugs for making tea, coffee, ice….
