Convenient to Waco proper. Lots of trees and shade, and LOTS of road noise.
If you are a boater, there’s a huge lake and nice launch ramp. Otherwise not much to do in the park itself.
We were there for the eclipse. The park had glasses on hand, which was nice.

Very nice park. We have stayed in approximately 10 different COE Parks. The bathroom and showers are nice. Water was hot. Need to bring your own soap to wash hands after using the facilities. Unfortunately, probably because of vandalism, they do not have soap dispensers.
There are about 7 sites with full hook ups. We were here for 10 days for the eclipse. Very easy access to Waco shopping.
As always the price was right with COE Parks.

We were in site 1 on the lake for the Eclipse. Site was well maintained. We did not use that bath house no input there. Great and easy location.

Best camping spot ever. Of course we had clouds during the eclipse and lots of wind, but I would still pick this camp ground in the Waco area.

The campground was lovely, but our site was missing a roof over the picnic tables making it very hot during the day. Many sites were missing roofs over the tables, but many under the trees had them. Not sure why this wasn’t complete. The men’s bathroom had one toilet backed up for the entire time we were here. This was making it rough on the guys, no matter how many times we reported it nothing got done. Our group even bought a plunger to try to fix it, this helped some, but they needed to get a plumber in to fix it. We also kept running out of toilet paper. Seems that the management of the campground was struggling. Showers were great - hot and large.

Nice location and campground. The GPS had trouble locating Midway Campground, we had to get the address from Recreation.gov.
